France
The question upon which the French referendum will be
held on May 29th has finally been approved and sounds
the following: “Do you agree with the bill that
authorizes the ratification of the treaty establishing a
Constitution for the European Union?”
Germany
The Bundestag will vote on the Constitutional Treaty on
May 12th . The Bundesrat has already taken position in
favour of the bill on February 18th.
France
According to a new opinion poll, the French voter would
support the European Constitution by 60%, if the
referendum was held next Sunday.
Austria
The parliament will vote on the Constitutional Treaty in
May this year.
Portugal
The incoming Socialist government said Thursday it would
go ahead with promised referendums on the new EU
constitution in 2006.
France
The former French President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing
took part in a conference in Philadelphia, United States
of America, for presenting the European Constitution.
Czech
Republic
The government on Wednesday outlined a new bill that
would allow for a referendum on the EU constitution, a
cabinet spokesman announced.
