The French Parliament, gathered at Versailles on
February 28th, adopted the project of the constitutional
revisions, a prerequisite for the referendum on the
European Constitution.
Denmark
The Prime Minister of Denmark, Andres Fogh Rasmussen,
announced that the referendum on the European
Constitution will take place on September 27, 2005.
France
The French President, Jacques Chirac, urged the
agricultural sector to conserve the acquis communautaire
by voting ‘Yes’ to the European constitutional treaty.
The
Netherlands
The interior ministry announced on Wednesday that the
Dutch voters will go to the polls on June 1st for a
non-binding referendum on the European constitution.
This will be the first referendum in the Netherlands
concerning the construction of the European Union.
France
According to an exclusive poll of the CSA that took
place on February 23rd and 24th with 815 people, 63% of
the participants would vote ‘Yes’ to the European
Constitution if the French referendum was held next
Sunday.
Poland
According to a poll released on February 26, 2005,
almost two-thirds of the Polish population, 64 percent,
support ratifying the European constitution.
