France
The French President Jacques Chirac will launch its
campaign in favour of the Constitution on April 14th,
when he will intervene on television in an open debate
with students about the issues relevant to the
referendum on May 29th.

The Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin started Thursday
his official campaign for a “yes”.

Following the Ministry of European Affairs, the
government will diffuse spots on television that inform
about the Constitution in between March 30th and April
15th.
Netherlands
The government decided to distribute volumes of the
Constitution to a large public, as the country is
approaching the referendum held on June 1st 2005.
France
The Christian Council of France (Cecef), uniting
Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox, published a paper
concerning the Constitution in which it strongly
emphasises the positive character of the constitution.
Brussels
The president of the European Commission Barroso called
upon the French voters to support the Constitution and
warned that a French no-vote would severely harm the
European process of integration.
