Former French Prime
Minister Raymond Barre insists on the necessity of a
“national constitution training” and warns on how
the “No” consequences would alter the European
landscape.
Jacques
Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder met for a press
conference in Paris and reminded that “This
constitution is what we always wanted to have: (…) a
united Europe of States and people”.

Finland,
Austria, Portugal, Latvia
The four Presidents of
Finland, Austria, Portugal and Latvia met last
Saturday to call for a “Yes” vote to the European
Constitution in France, insisting on the fact that
this treaty would be the main step to European
integration and a warranty of stability.
France
During three weeks,
France Info, the French radio station, will focus
its programs on the European Constitution staring at
our European neighbours and partners and how they
judge the constitution, and giving feed-back on the
French debate. Launching of a website dedicated to
the Constitution.
Overseas
French
minister for Overseas, Brigitte Girardin, estimated
last Friday at Fort de France that “the European
Constitution is a real gift for Europe, for France
and for its overseas”.

Referendum: French
scientists call for a “Yes” vote.
Netherlands
Visiting
the Netherlands, Foreign Affaires French Minister
Michel Barnier met his Dutch homologue Ben Bot. Both
showed their faith in a “Yes” victory to the
European constitution in their countries.
